Keenan Farms began in 1972 when Charles Keenan purchased 100 acres of newly planted pistachio trees in Avenal, California. With the first crop, Charles and son Robert decided to invest in their own processing equipment as the nearest processing facility was more than 100 miles away. And so processing and marketing their product became important facets of the Keenan Farms business...a business that grew rapidly over the years.

As the pistachio industry developed, Robert Keenan devoted considerable time and energy serving in numerous positions with the California Pistachio Association and the California Pistachio Commission. He earned a reputation for being more than a first rate processor and grower...he is respected for his contributions to the California pistachio industry.

Today with over 50 quality oriented growers adding to the Keenan crop, Keenan Farms markets a wide range of retail and bulk packaging options for domestic and export shipments. Our strict adherence to quality and safety standards has earned Keenan Farms international recognition. As the result of state-of-the-art technology we are able to offer a natural, safe wholesome product...a pistachio that simply tastes better than any others.
